HISTORY

1941 Showa Design Office established.
1943 Changed the trade name to Showa Special Machine Technology and the company built its first factory In Yaguchi, Ohta-ku.
1944 Founded Showa Special Machine Technology Co., Ltd.
1952 Changed trade name to Shotoku.
1961 Relocated to the new plant in Futago, Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki-shi.
Started production of mechatronics and studio equipment.
1966 Built the second factory and heat-treatment shop in the head-office plant.
1967 Built the Fukuyama Plant in Fukuyama-shi and started test piece manufacturing, and built a new building in the Honsha Plant.
1970 Built the Keihin Plant at Ohgi-machi, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki-shi.
1974 Commemorated the 30th anniversary.
1976 Established Ohgi-shima Machining Center in the premises of Keihin Steel Making Plant of former Nippon Kokan K.K.
1984 Constructed Sendai Plant at Gamou, Miyagino-ku, Sendai-shi.
1994 Commemorated the 50th anniversary.
2000 Incorporated Shotoku Inc. locally to enter the U.S. market with telecasting equipment.
2001 Founded Rent Act Shotoku to start the telecasting equipment rental business.
2004 Newly built out Yokohama Plant in Tsuzuki-ku, Yokohama-shi to strengthen the large equipment assembly business.
2005 Incorporated Shotoku Ltd. To enter the British market with the telecasting equipment.
