Phoenix is a control solution providing cost effective and convenient upgrade paths for users of existing remote camera systems who would like to migrate to modern, state-of-the-art control systems. By replacing the obsolete control system, while keeping the mechanical sub-systems, Phoenix provides a real alternative to a complete system replacement. Customers may choose to replace the control system only, without any changes to the remainder of the system or opt to replace the electronic controllers associated with each head as well. This option enables the system to implement Ethernet networks, taking advantage of the benefits over RS422 communications. Phoenix even supports a mixture of legacy heads and new Shotoku channels based on the TG-18/19 or TG-27.
