The utilization of high resolution absolute encoders ensure accurate and repeatable positioning coupled with the ability to provide smooth movement at very low speeds which is ideal for making minor adjustments during live programmes. These heads may also be used for Virtual Studio applications without any modifications. The TG-18 are also ideal for manual operation. Both heads are fitted with electronic clutches to de-couple the motor drives as well as high quality adjustable fluid dampers to provide the smoothness required for manual control. Brakes for pan and tilt and a paddle locking mechanism to assist camera mounting and de-mounting are provided as standard. When used with Shotoku"s range of control systems the innovative LEARN mode allows a camera operator to "teach" the head a complete series of movements which can be reproduced exactly, time after time.
